Default Aeroforce Interceptor trans temp observed

Just thought I would share this, I'll update it as I monitor it more frequently.

I plugged my Aeroforce Interceptor in today leaving work and paid attention to the temps. To be as explicit as possible, I started the car, left work and went to the bank (3 miles away) without monitoring. Leaving the bank I have roughly a 35 mile drive home, mostly highway but red lights around the bank and a couple closer to my house. While on the highway I went between 0-45% throttle.

Weather conditions were ~95* F temperature with a heat index between 98-100*, sun all the way home, no clouds or shade.

My car is an auto with stock 2.73 gears, a 3500 FTI torque converter (2.35 STR) and a Hayden 679 transmission cooler mounted on the condenser. The converter locks at 46 mph.

Upon starting the car leaving the bank the transmission temperature read 140*. I ran into some minor traffic and the aforementioned red lights prior to the highway. Trans temp got up to 183* at one point. As I got closer to the highway that dropped consistently. It quickly dipped below 180*. Once on the highway I expected it to level out to about 170* as it made it's way down, but I was rewarded by it dipping below 170*. By the end of the main stretch of highway home it was at 163*. After getting onto my second to last road it went up to 165* but then dropped down to 161*. I arrived home at 161* and I'm sure with a little more highway driving it would have been able to dip under 160*. Not bad for a 95+* day I'd say.

Nice!
I hope that anyone who doubts the value of an external trans cooler reads this.

Very nice

Mine got up to 183 driving 45miles to work today. Mostly highway and about 5 wot runs.

Air temp was about 85. Also done with Aeroforce guage.

I don't think my trans cooler is near that big though. It's a BM but not sure on the size. Maybe 24,000.

I think the biggest B&M plate is 28,000. I couldn't do WOT runs because I was dumb and put 89 octane in the car and it's tuned to only run 93+ lol.

Note: I have the stock cooler bypassed

Hmm I wonder if my stock cooler was bypassed when it was installed.

I'll have to look into it.
