Im trying to diagnose a lock up issue on my car.... I just removed the driveshaft and found that the trans output shaft has about 1/4 in play in each direction.... up/down, left/right. So total from up to down is probably over 1/4 inch...

Car goes in reverse ok..... I can creep real slow in forward.... but give it some gas it locks up for a moment.....?????
