Quite a bit but it isn't a set number its more like a percentage. Meaning if transmission A is behind a 200hp engine it may take 50hp to turn or roughly 25%. Take the same transmission and put it behind a 1000hp engine and it is gonna take close to 250hp to turn. Doesn't make any logical sense except remember HP is a measure of acceleration and 1000hp tries a whole lot harder then 250hp. The point being it varies but at the 400hp level I would assume to be down 20 to 30 with a stock converter or 25 to 50 with an aftermarket.

Manuals dominate the dyno, they put down the power to the wheels, especially peak with less drivetrain loss. Often though, on that level, the auto car will win the race all else the same being as its power to the ground may be slightly lower but it will be evened out better over the entire rpm band giving it the advantage, especially from the lower speeds.

Sounds like your converter was likely unlocked as well. You will often see an extra 15-20hp on the dyno just from that. But a manual will still show more power on the dyno due to less HP loss through the transmission.
My combo made 390hp unlocked and I would expect around 400 locked. The same heads/cam combo in a typical manual car should easily make 420rwhp.

@thunder yea the converter was unlocked so with it being unlock shows more power than locked or locked shows more power
