Question Is my stall correct?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Briefly, Full Weight 96 383 LT1 w/4L60E, 3.73 gears

Engine specs:

All Forged internals
Stock Heads Ported to 200cc by AI
Stock Ported Intake by AI
Custom HR Cam by AI:

Duration @ .050 / Duration Adv. / Total Lift / Rockers

In. 238 / 272 / .60* / 1.6

Ex. 274 / 274 / .57* / 1.6

Compression Ratio: 12.22

This is a new engine I recently got running. Engine runs great feels strong but my concern is the acceleration seems lacking and I'm wondering if the converter has anything to do with it. I have a Vigilante 3600-3800 stall and I'm wondering if maybe this stall is too high/loose??? Any suggenstions or advice?

Stall too high? Acceleration lacking? Those should never be in the same sentence.

I'd look into problems with bad cats (if you have them), bad O2 sensors, MAF, ignition, etc. If there actually is a problem with acceleration the converter should not be the issue if it is running up to spec, if it is faulty that is a different story but if it's running properly I wouldn't think the stall speed would be an issue.

No cats, no engine performance issues. It just feels like the converter is too loose.....I maybe wrong. I was just expecting the car to pull more around 2500-5000 rpm.

Is the trans tired? If the converter is going away, it will still shift good, but wont "pull" as hard. If the trans is tired, it should show signs by slipping on shifts. If you have been riding in your buddies 1000HP turbo car, your car just feels slow, LOL.

The trans is new. Has maybe 500 miles on it. It shifts tight at WOT nice a normal crusin in town. No slipping. Funny you mention a buddies car. I do happen to have a friend with a freshly built Typhoon. Its got an 88mm turbo on it and I made the mistake of riding in his before mine was done.....needless to say I feel like a terd in my car now!
