Exclamation Tunning issue or 4l60e going out??

i recently finished doing a small simple h/c/i in my 98 ls1 z28. 243 heads/ls6 cam all suporting bolt ons no stall.it is untuned.when the car was stock when i would floor it it would shift perfect.now that i did the h/c/i i took it to the track only to have my rev limiter bouncing.it shifts perfect under normal driving but when you floor it it does not shift..any ideas?

I know its h/c/i but its nothing big thats why i assume the tune is not that bad.

Any input is appriciated thanks in advance.

It needs to be tuned. The WOT shift points need to be changed at the very least.

Yes, that should be your first step.
I cannot figure out why a cam change might cause you to hit the rev limiter, but any cam change certainly requires a re-tune.
There is still a chance that your trans is slipping, but start with the tune, perhaps asking the tuner to raise your transmission line pressure too.

Anytime you speed up the motor's acceleration the trans needs a larger window between the commanded shift and the actual shift and the rev limiter, especially the 2/3. I command mine around 6150 and it takes till 6450/6500 before it actually shifts, remember thats a tiny amount of time though. Results are the same with a stock trans or a built one.

I am having the same problem as soon as I did my install took it to a tuner who is terrible but near my area all he tells me is that he can build me a granny this and that I'm buying a software probably hp tuners and I want to see for myself I dont see how a h/c/i swap could do this but I guess anything is possible. My car shifted fine then I change some motor parts and on the first drive I noticed it.
