Default 4L80E Jakes/Lingenfelter

Have a buddy with a turbo F Body and we just got a Jake's D3 transbrake installed. Before the transbrake we would try to build minimum boost off the footbrake with the lingenfelter two step. Was lucky to make 1-2lbs of boost leaving. So far since the install it's been causing problems.

Transbrake was installed by a local transmission guy who has always done excellent work for us. Anyway, the car is throwing a P1810 code and it acts like the car I under more of a load when in gear and it wants to surge and die while in gear. The other thing is that the transbrake keeps blowing a 30 amp fuse.

Today I wired it to a relay and installed a TVS diode that Lingenfelter sells, however same problem. I should add this. It seems to only pop the fuse right before the two step activates at the set RPM, so far is hasn't popped the fuse using the transbrake to back up.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Wire it direct without the two step and test so you can isolate the problem.

Also delete the 1810 code.

Transbrake/two step is fixed. Put a new two step on today and it works fine. However it's still throwing the P1810 code and wants to surge/die while in gear idling. Cleared the code and it still returns.

You have to delete the code in the tune.
The PCM sees two gears activated at once that shouldn't be, LOW and D3 oil. It doesn't like it.

Got it, wasn't familiar with this code. I thought that's what you meant as to deleting the code. Thanks.
