I had my output shaft machined down to fit a regular style yoke when I had it torn down for the rebuild. If you can't do that then you will have to get the counterbored one that everyone is talking about. The bolt on yoke is used in trucks with a different type of drive shaft

ok so everyone has different suggestions lol. since i need movement in my drive shaft the only place i can get that with my stock drive shaft is with the yoke. my 4l60 has a slip on yoke. so i kinda figure i gotta run a slip on since im using the stock drive shaft. the yoke thats on the 4l80 is a bolt on and its short. I believe a short slip yoke would be to short would it not? so should i get a long one and hope it works or get a short one and hope its long enough and wont fall out.

It doesn't matter if you get a long or short slip yoke with a bolt on style output shaft. The output shaft gets bigger past the splines so it won't let you slide it any farther
