Default Shift solinoid sticking..

Anyone ever have this problem? The car does this every once in a while. I come to a stop and the car doesn't downshift.

Mine started doing it after the converter install. I had to start driving around town when under about 35mph with the car in 3rd. This seemed to stop the problem. Does yours throw a code when it does it? If so what can you find out what code. I think my code number was 0757. Hope this helps some.

The code says just that...."shift solinoid sticking" I don't remember the #. I was wondering if anyone knew how much one of those things cost.

Mine was doing that when it first started. Cost me $15/solenoid, plus gasket and filter.

Unless you want to buy 2 and change them both, wait 'til it throws a code again and it'll say "A" or "B".
The shift solenoids go into the back of the valve body. They are both the same part #. The one on the driver's side is the "A" solenoid.
Have fun!
