Default cam and stock tc?

Sorry if it's been posted before but IM on my phone and couldn't find it. What would happen if I used a stock tc on a cammed car? Will it try pushing thought it when stopped and in gear?

Guess it depends on the size of the cam. Will possibly be very sluggish off the line, may have some cam surge trying to pull you forward when stopped

The reason it would push through at lights is because the bigger cam requires a higher idle to run right. I had a hot cam before I had to stand on the brakes pretty good at lights.

Thanks for the replys guys. The cam is 224/230 .538 .538 114+4. Car idles right at 1k which i think is too high really. Anyway, i had to use my stock tc after i broke trans and it tries pushing the car pretty good at lights now. Everything elseseems good though. Previous tc was a TCI 3600 which i didnt like. Way too loose

Yeah 1000 RPM idle is a bit high for that cam. Mines idles at 950 with a 242/248 on 110. You could try turning idle down a bit for now.

Its as far down as i could get it mechanically. It has to be done with the tune now. Idk why the tuner set it do high for a cam that isnt that big. I was thinking around 750-800 rpm
