Default Need a torque converter!

So my tranmission (4l60e) took a crap and I am going to get it rebuilt but I need to get a converter. (YES, I have searched but havent found a specific topic like my situation)

I have decided to get a billet version with a 3800 stall speed.

I dont want to spend $1000 on it but I am willing to spend in the $700-$800 range.

I am looking to push about 600whp by spring (turbo setup).

Here are two I have been looking at:

http://shop.fticonverters.com/LS-SER...L-SRLS6391.htm

http://www.revmaxconverters.com/inde...rter-2371.html

SO What do you guys recommend for my situation?

I plan to order it by this weekend!

DECIDED! I am going with a custom spec'd FTI billet converter. Spoke to Greg from there and he took my current mods into consideration and future mods as well. Still waiting to get my trans rebuilt before putting it in. I will make a new thread once I put it in as well as a few other parts (cooler, trans temp guage)

Thanks for the help everyone!

This forum is about spreading knowledge. There is no rule that says you cannot mention a non-sponsors name, you just cant directly link to their product on their website or otherwise give direct contact info.

OP, please do not confine your search to only FTI and Revmax. Give Yank, Circle D, and PTC a look also. All stand-up companies from what I've seen.

Yeah, definitely will be looking at those also. I'm going to do my research and see what will benefit me and my wallet. Thanks

I would choose FTI but I am a lil biased. You should check into each converter manufacturer as there are several good companies out there. Buying a converter is an investment and therefore should be treated like one. If you would like to see what we have to offer give me a call at the office.1-866-726-8358.

I purchased a Yank PT4000 in 2007 and it hits hard and is very efficient IMO
Car pulls 1.40's on MT DR's when the track holds up. Has trapped 125 mph
and the car weighs more than it did from the factory,
Good luck with your search.

Nice, what gears do you have? what ET at 125? Do you remember the STR?

Thanks, hopefully I make the right choice!
