Default guys with 4l80e on there f-body

Hey, Sold my t56 & just bought a '95 4l80e. My dad is about to open it up to see what it looks like inside. I'm going to order a B&M cooler part# 70266 but I don't know what lines to buy & fittings. So if anyone knows this info please help me out. Want to start doing little things like this since the trany is at the shop. Thanks

There are much bigger issues and details involved in a 4L80E swap that the cooling lines. Here are some very long and detailed threads on the subject:

The cheapo thread is a real world budget thread I did a few years back. Glad to see it still being used to this day.

Yea, I read the whole thread 3wks ago. A lot of good info. My thing is I want to run the cooling lines the safest way with the right fittings. I don't want to have a hose come off in the middle of the track. You know.

What adapters did you use? 45 degrees or 90?

90 degrees off the trans, the 45's look like they would touch the trans tunnel once the lines were connected.. If they don't it definitely will be tight, at least on mine..

Same here, on my 4L65E.
I would highly recommend the teflon hoses as they have a much smaller OD and of course can easily handle the pressure. I run AN6 to a cooler which has threads instead of barbs.
