Stall probs
I recently broke my transmission and took it to a local shop to sort help me sort out what to replace it with. I've got most of it figured out RPM stage V transmission, 3.73 gears, various upgrades to the rear end. My only problem is the stall on the new converter the shop (and my dad who I Co-Own the car with) want to go with a 3000 stall to make it more streetable and I want to go with a 3600 stall for racing. Will there be a huge difference between the 3600 and 3000 stalls, the shop said that there shouldn't be but I've heard otherwise.

While going from a stock converter to a 3600 will likely gain .5 seconds, I doubt going from 3000 to 3600 would gain you more than .1. And that assumes you have good traction. The exact improvement also depends upon your cam's RPM range and other factors. But perhaps someone has actual numbers to correct me.
I currently have a Yank SS3600 with 3.42 gears and find it too loose; I had a 2400 and that was too tight. I'll aim for 3000 next time. But with your 3.73 rear a 3600 should feel pretty good; I would then personally aim for a 3200.
