Question about buying a used converter
1. How do you go about getting the free restall when buying a used converter?
2. The converter I'm looking at buying was in a car when the tranny went out(started slipping) I assume I should have it flushed before I use it? anything else?
3. Do I have to send it back to PI to be cleaned or can a local shop do that?
conveter is a Vig 3600
Thanks

See if the original owner has the paper work documenting the free restall. If he they do, then simply use that info and call PI and tell them you want your free restall.
I'd have if flushed if a tranny went out behind it. PI would do this if they were restalling it for you.
A local shop CAN clean it for you, but if you are trying to get your free restall, PI might see that someone other than them has opened it up and opt not to do a free restall on it.
Hope this helps some.

Call PI after you know what the 5 digit number is on the TQ. It's on the flywheel side of the TQ.
PI identifies the TQ by this 5 digit number and whether it has been restalled. This number also identifies the original stall and str of the converter.
If the TQ is less than 2 years old and hasn't been returned for a restall PI will restall it for you. You just pay shipping to and from.
Speak to Vickie or Jack.
