Default used 80e or rebuilt 60e???

I'm putting a lq9 with a cam in a chevelle and trying to decide what I want to do about the tranny. My budget will allow me to buy a rebuilt 4l60 or a used 4l80, The used 80e would be the cheapest way to go of the 2 and I am thinking that might be the best option for me since it would free up my budget some. What do you guys think? I could reuse my th350 but dont think it would last long with all the extra power.

80e cause it will handle more abuse even in stock configuration.

I ran a 4l60 and a 4l80e in my Chevelle. I would choose the 4l80e. I hated the huge drop from 1st to 2nd in the 60e and I liked the dependability of the 80e. One thing to keep in mind you go 80e is that you will have to get an aftermarket converter. The stock converter is a very heavy piece and you will not be happy with it in you Chevelle.
