try and grease the splines on the front yoke of the driveshaft, see if that helps-on the early 700R trans they had that problem, the splines were tight or something, and it caused that problem
the first time it happened to me, I swore someone ran into the back of me

I have the same problem you do. It's really annoying. Mine feels like it comes from the middle of the car, and my drive shaft is relatively new (installed in may). I'm thinking it might be a worn out TQ arm bushing or trans mount. Anyway, good luck OP let me know if you get it fixed.

I confirmed today that is the slip yoke causing the thump. I was told that greasing the splines is only. Temp fix and can also be bad because of Greece getting in the transfer case. So I rather just replace the slip yoke problem is I'm doing searches and can't find where to buy. Any ideas.

How did you find out it was the yoke, if you don't mind me asking? I'd like to see if that's causing my issue too.

My local drive shaft shop had 1330 yokes in stock and made me a custom drive shaft. There are lots of drive shaft shop around for servicing big trucks.

1350 Yokes are even better. Just Google "1350 Yoke"; JEGS and Summit sell them.

That is the rear yoke, not the slip yoke. Search for "slip yoke 4l60e" on ebay; although I rarely find the lowest price on ebay. Same price on Amazon:
Driveshaft Yoke 27 Spline Fits 1350 Series U-Joints : Amazon.com : Automotive Driveshaft Yoke 27 Spline Fits 1350 Series U-Joints : Amazon.com : Automotive

I estimate your local driveshaft shop will charge you $120 plus the yoke to weld in the new yoke and re-balance the drive shaft. They probably stock or can quickly get a 700R4/4L60E yoke in either 1330 or 1350 steel.

I'm sure there are a lot of members who would be happy to come to your house and "grease your yoke" for $110.

Ok here is the scoop remove drive shaft then remove extension housing there should be a little cup with a o - ring inside it replace the o-ring and put the proper grease on the splines and in the cup . If the cup is missing get one a lot of builders toss them . While you are there replace the extension housing bushing and seal . GM special grease, P/N 19257121
