Are you bypassing the radiator cooling?

Should be 1/2 NPT. You can get one that turns to a nipple for hose (use trans cooler hose). This one is brass and can be found at home depot or any plumbing store. You can also order a 1/2NPT to AN adapter and run braided line. I've run mine both ways.

i have mounted mine on the condensor before. It is a massive cooler to try and fit in the front of an fbody. Now mine is mounted on my Midwest Chassis bumper support.

Two, correct. It will be where they keep the brass small plumbing stuff.

Depends on location. The stock cooler functions really well as a warmer for cold climates. Down here in the dirty south we need to ditch it asap.....but up north it can be beneficial to regulating the trans temps....Why you ask? Well because when its cold, and the factory warmer isn't there, the trans just wont heat up. It can literally stay 100 degrees behind a 200 degree engine.
