Well the trans is shifting fine. I felt the inefficiency right after the converter swap

A higher stall should not require a retune.
Long tube headers might change the VE tables by 1%, not enough to worry about even if running SD. And definitely shouldn't matter if running MAF and/or Closed-loop.

Several sponsors here are running Xmas sales on their converters; that might be the best way to go. I personally prefer lower stalls for street driveability, but since strip performance is important to you, you have a 3.73 rear and a hot cam, a quality 4000 stall should give you the best performance.
Thanks for the info man I appreciate it. I have a custom comp cam now tho lol

I am leaning towards it being the converter. I would look into purchasing a name brand. In the case of converters, you really do get what you pay for.

revmax is your problem...I went from a stock to a 3600 and my 60 ft time didn't move

I called and complained and they told me to suck it up because I didn't buy the 9.5 inch converter, so now I have a paperweight in my garage

This is the first time Ive heard of a Revmax being a bad converter. I almost bought one, but my trans builder wanted me to run one of his. He is the man on 2004Rs ,so I took his advise. Of all the threads Ive read on Revmax, yours is also the first one Ive seen that was complained as being loose. EVERY other one was a too tight problem. Give them a call and tell them what is going on. When I talked to the guy at the factory, I was very impressed with his knowledge and he had very strict guidelines as to HP output and which of his converters you should run. After a lot of research last year, I believe they have a better converter than some more expensive converters that are popular. They even go so far as to give you several options on stator design and materials and they claim to hold very tight tolerances. You can buy a junk converter from them with an aluminum stator and a V6 case for a couple hundred bucks, just like B&M or TCI, but if you can afford a quality converter, they can build you one, IMO.
Did you do anything at all to the air coming into the engine or the exhaust? Or mess with anything that could have the rear diff in a bind? If it will put down more HP on the dyno than it did when you ran 11.9x, then it seems like it would have to be something going on dynamically while you are going down the track.

I have their 9.5inch converter rated at 500hp.. I don't know if I over powered it or if it's something wrong with the converter after they restalled it..

I had a friend that had his transmission mess up and he sent his converter back to yank to have it freshened up and when he got it back something was wrong with it. I think he also lost MPH. but he sent it back like 3 times and every time he got it back it still the same out come. finally he got them to rebuild it to different specs and it worked great then.

Decide whether you want driveability or the best launch at the track, then send the converter back and have it restalled/rebuilt accordingly. Just give them your parameters and let them decide on the stall! Everyone thinks my 4500 vig is too much for the street but I love it and at full weight, cam-only (small one at that) it does a good job at the track!! Good Luck!

all I can say is retune the the car. it most likely is running very lean and giving you the that feeling of blowing thru the converter but in reality its starving for fuel.just my 2 cents

How is it starving for fuel with 45 extra rwhp after the tune? The only thing I did after the tune was remove the mid tube Pacesetters and added longtube Pacesetters

What are you running behind the new long tubes?

OK. Just trying to figure out why you lost 25-30HP at the same time as the headers, trans rebuild, and converter restall. Brakes? Did you tighten your emergency brake or mess up the anti lock module? There are many things that can contribute to slower ETs and I am just trying to eliminate variables .
Have you contacted Revmax yet? Im running out of other crap to blame it on, LOL.

No I haven't contacted them yet. But when I installed the longtubes I still had the 3500 in. The car pulled like a freight train.. Then I got greedy lol and thought I could go faster by putting in a bigger converter. When I did that something didn't feel right. I took it to the track and lost 5mph.. I'm gonna change that converter and see what happens from there..

If the car was running great before the trans and converter change, those would be the first 2 places that I would look.

You changed to many things at once. Dynoes are great for selling, but track times tell all.
You could try to pull some timing at high speed somehow and see if your mph goes up.
