Default How can I drop the transmission a little bit to access cooler line fittings?

Hey yall. Car is a 1999 ss with 4l60e. I am installing a trans cooler and running braided lines to replace the stock lines. I heard the trans can be dropped slightly to get the trans fittings off. How can I drop it a little bit? I've never messed with the trans before. I also have a poly trans mount so I figured now would be a good time to put that in. Help is greatly appreciated!!

remove trans crossmember, i had to disconnect my exhaust also so the engine would tip back far enough.

yeah you can remove the cross member. Just have something under it to still support the trans. Its a lot of weight. It doesn't move it that far though. Might want to find someone with Small hands.

if your torque arm is still connected to the tailshaft you are going to need to disconnect that also.
