Default 4l80e No third, fourth gear

Some background first: I bought a core 4l80e and attempted to rebuild it myself almost a year ago. I bought a rebuild kit and a D3 transbrake from Jake. After my rebuild didn't work correctly (no 3rd or 4th gear), I found a stock working 4l80e and put it in. It worked great, so I took it out and took both the stock trans and the one I rebuilt to a professional rebuilder.

I got one good transmission back (with the transbrake installed) and put it in my car. I test drove it this morning and I have no 3rd or 4th gear again. Reverse, 1st, and 2nd all work great, nice hard shifts. Fluid is at the proper level, shifter is adjusted correctly. I am using a manual controller, shich worked great with the stock transmission. When I shift to 3rd it's like I didn't shift at all, and when I shift to 4th its like I went into neutral. What could cause this?

Could a non-functioning B solenoid (bad solenoid or wiring harness) cause this issue?

did it have a 4L80E orig in it before you did anything, or were you converting it to a 4L80E?
is the shifter getting all the gears, is the controller set for an 80E, or are you using a man. wire deal
prob a little more background is needed

It's in a Mustang with a carb 6.0. Reverse, 1st, and 2nd all work great, nice hard shifts. Fluid is at the proper level, shifter is adjusted correctly. I am using a manual controller, which worked great with the stock transmission.

As I recall, the problem was a bad governor pressure switch. It's a part that screws into the side of the valve body that has 2 prongs that wires hook to. Once I replace that it shifted great.

I am too, also having this problem. Mine is doing it whether you manually shift it into 3rd or let the truck do it automatically. Do you have a part number to the part you replaced?
