4l60e aftermarket temp. sensor?
iv seen pictures iv seen it in front of me but have no idea where to find one...
You can unscrew the plug in the pressure port on the neutral safety side of the trans, replace the plug with a 1/4 temp sensor.
Well i cannot find a sensor! is there anyone that can help me with this?

Its so much better that the threads don't even match the sensor you just bought. You should try listening more, and putting your threads in the right section would help as well.

I recall a thread from 1-1/2 years ago where the OP had a temperature sensor in the pressure port; the sensor sprung a leak from the vibration and, IIRC, burnt out the trans.
The HP Tuners scanner can read the trans temperature from the factory sensor. It appears that some programmable "multi-gauges" cannot access the trans temperature, but since some scanners can read the temperature, I would expect that some OBD-II connected gauges could also read it. Does anyone know which gauges can read the factory sensor value?

We spend all this time and money and a bung in the pan is out of the question? Two options, one an aftermarket aluminum pan and the bung will already be there, two weld a bung in the stock pan and it can double as a drain plug and won't cost much. Service your trans while youre in there. You aren't on soccer mom service intervals, you want your car to last and take abuse? Take care of it. Adding a bung is two birds with one stone. You're welcome.
