Default FT I stall converter....

Would this be a good stall for a basic bolt on ls1??

That particular stall is for an LT1. Your post says LS1 so that one wouldn't work but FTI would surely offer something for the LS1 that is comparable. FTI builds great converters. Personally I wouldn't waste money on an "economy" converter but if I had to have one I'd go with FTI, Greg is a great guy to work with.

When I was in the market for a converter I wanted a billet lockup style converter. Off the shelf converters were $725+, I contacted Greg and custom spec'ed a converter for my specific car for $700 and it's awesome (I'm bolt ons with 2.73 gears)

That is for an lt1 converter, im pretty sure they aren't the same for an ls1. Fti makes great converters, you should call and talk to them about your set up and plans and they can custom build you one.

Love mine. I have daily driven with a 3600 FTI for 2 years now. It pulls hard.
