Default th400 Cooler lines

Doin a th400 swap...read the stickies and I seen some people have kept the stock tranny lines. Anyone ran into problems with the fluid not being able to exit fast enough thru the small lines? Or something to that effect? Those of u that used the stock lines, how did u adapt thrm to the openings on th400?

Use these:

Run a -6 to a plate cooler. It'll flow plenty. Monitor your temp gauge and up-size the cooler if necessary.

A -6 line is 3/8". Stock cooler lines were 5/16".

If you calculate the actual area of the tubing the 3/8" is a much larger capacity and flow.

In either case the restriction will typically be in the fitting themselves, not the size of the tubing/hose.

Don't overthink it.
