98 240sx ls1 4l60e swap no first or fourth gear. 240sx ls1 4l60e swap no first or fourth gear. made sure to take out the dtcs on hptuners for tcc lock up but I'm getting a few codes still and no lockup that i can feel either. the engine runs flawless as of now, the trans is from a 99 tahoe but has all of the parts changed out from my 98 trans am 4l60e that i pulled the swap from. all the solenoids seem to ohm test fine, and the internal harness of both transmissions seem to be fine. Kind of stumped. It seems like an electrical issue not an internal trans. the transmission only has about 16k miles on it.
Any ideas on what my problem is?
Are there further things I need to do with hp tuners?
Only other mod on the transmission is a 4.2 traileblazer torque convertor.

1st and 4th gear only have one thing in common - shift solenoid A. It is not turning on. Sometime a shift solenoid is bad even though the ohm meter shows continuity - it can be stuck internally (it should rattle in you hands) or the tiny filters in it can be clogged with crud. Try another one, they are only $12 each. Otherwise it can be a wiring problem, or in rare cases a bad PCM.
With HP Tuners scanner, turn on the ignition, engine off and select each gear. In a quiet garage you can hear the solenoids click for each gear change.
