Yea 8 bolts. Then take the two black covers off the sides and just work it back and forth with a small pry bar. I did mine myself and I took awhile but eventually it will pop. Make sure adjust the tail of the trans up and down to find the sweet spot. Good luck.

2 on the bottom, 2 on each side, and two on top(very top and left to top).

You need to get a 6 point swivel socket and tape some extensions together for flex.
Is it a 13mm or 15 mm socket?
Go to Sears, they sell the swivel socket.

It's 13mm, I got some wobble extensions I'm using but I can't even see the bolts. Maybe transmission isn't low enough. I'll check it tonight when I get off work.

You need the swivel socket not swivel adapter.

Do you have the rear of the trans hanging as low as it will go? I was able to see them when I let the tail shaft hang down.

Get a flashlite and look around the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock position.
Do not take the intake off.

My trans bolts are all 15mm and when I bought a new set from the dealer, they were 15mm too.
A 15mm swivel socket will help, along with 3x 12" long extensions.

If you are sure your trans is hanging as low as the engine mounts allow (and not hung up on something), I guess you will have to remove the intake.
A lot of people don't bother putting the top bolt back in, with no adverse effects.

Did you get them? I've always used some really long extensions and if you you look from the very end of trans (tailhousing) you can see the bolts up top. If you need a hand let me know.
