Default What can I expect from a Torque Converter?

Ok here goes. I'm back into the mod phase. I have a 2001 A4, 3.23, T/A Firehawk w/ Loudmouth, Y-Pipe, air box....nothing else. I don't go to the track but would like to turn my daily driver into a "fun" car to keep garaged with some mods. I want to keep my car "streetable" and more-than-likely will have most of the work done (no tools, or courage...don't want to f^%k anything up!) Plan on possilbe long tubes, cam/header package in future. I want to know what to expect from a TORQUE CONVERTER...like the SY3500. Try to WALK me through the ups-and-downs.

Thanks!

expected to not gain anything on the top end, expect to loose some fuel economy, expect to be able to shred tires at the drop of the throttle, expect a big grin on your face, expect tickets once you get long tubes if you dont keep cats, expect mid to high 12's after the converter w/ traction.

I am running the SY3500 & i have the 323's.
For me, it's the perfect set up as my car is driven daily.
I NEED DRAG RADIALS.....
I still get 23 mpg & can waste a stock Z06 from light to light.
Do that with a cam.....? I think not.
My car is incredibly fast from a roll.
I am currently waiting to have my cam installed.
I know of a guy selling one if you're interested. Brand new, in box, 2 yr warranty.. $750.00..
Brand new your looking @ $900.00....
Good luck.

I might be interested. How much for install usually? Also, any additional parts needed? Would the SY3500 compliment a header/heads/cam package nicely....what I mean is the Torque Converter (SY3500) be the correct one if I were to get a set of Long Tubes, streetable cam/head package? Hope to hear from everyone on this topic!
