Default 4L60E pump build...

Just wondering... What Pump bushing is the better one & why... Ive got the Teflon coated one & its split on 1 end... I also have a more solid lookin plain Babbit bearing for the same spot... The stock one was Teflon coated but what if the new bearing coating comes off LoL

Its a 4x4 4L60E & LT1 with upgrades to live with My right foot LoL ALL goin in an S10 solid axle build Gonna program the Performance trans button/circuit to shift right in 4Lo Im just hung up on this damn bushing Lmao I think the 1pc no breaks plain babbit looks stouter!!!

Perhaps one of the long-time pro builders can answer that.
My understanding is that the teflon coated one is the upgraded part.

Thats what I thought but lookin at both The plain bearing looks better LoL IF the Teflon coated bearing was a copy of the plain one with teflon I wouldnt have had to post

Use the Teflon as it wears better and will never grab the torque converter snout and spin as the babbit bushing were known to do once in awhile. Place the slot or groove in the bushing at the top of the pump. Where ever the Teflon bushing is made available, I try to use it for the reasons stated. The Teflon coating is covering a bronze bushing here.
