Default clutch-a-matic

my dad has one of these in the jeep in the backyard he used to sand drag with. he tells me its a set up that fits a standard clutch set up ahead of a th400. was thinking about throwing it under my car if it would work worth a damn... anybody ever heard of one or have any photos? its a lot of work to haul that thing out/clean/rebuild/get driveshaft/shifter/input shaft or whatever if its going to shatter first time on asphalt..

he thinks b&m built it but i can't find a thing anywhere on the net about it.
TIA

hmm, interesting.. he has a winters shifter as well.

its probably not worth the effort to pull it out to get 100 bux for it.. i can ask though.. what is your interest with it? and thanks for the info.

ya i talked to carl at rossler and he recalled it and said it was a clutch turbo and told me if they were any good then they would still be around.. and figured i would break it easy on pavement with a heavy car.

l had 50lbs. flywheel in my race 35 yrs ago and would side step the clutch at 6000rpm and just hang on for dear life 10.70s. not bad for 36 yrs.ago. the car would have run40's with a little gear in the trans. 2.75-2.84-2.92-3.08 stock was 2.48 when that sob shifted it felt like a train hit you in the ***
