Exclamation TH350 Trans rebuild parts

I am thinking about having my TH350 that have a full manual valve body rebuilt by a guy and want to know what are good clutches and so on to get and have put in. I would just like to use good parts. I am looking foryour opinions and info. I just dont want to use "run of the mill " parts.
Thanks

I would use "run of the mill" parts.
Nothing wrong with OEM type tan Borg Warner frictions.
I've learned over time that most of the aftermarket "upgrades" aren't an upgrade at all when it comes to friction material in an auto trans.

So I should just get a standard rebuild kit for it and upgrade nothing?

Most of the needed upgrades are hydraulic, not hard or soft parts.

You will likely need more than a standard rebuild kit to build a good TH350, mostly due to worn out parts.

We commonly use 3-4 cores to build a TH350, to get enough suitable parts.

It's not as simple as a $95 kit off EBay like many seem to think.
I've posted some articles online several years ago on TH350 build tips.

You're asking a loaded question.

What is the expected HP/TQ?
What does the car weigh?

I didn't say "nothing" needs to be upgraded, I said "run of the mill" clutches and rebuild parts are all that are needed, not some fancy aftermarket friction or steel.

A hardened sprag race is a good idea.

Chances are the trans will need a complete set of bushings (stock "run of the mill" stuff here too) but many builders don't replace them unless they are in really bad shape.

You may want to upgrade the intermediate sprag, input shaft, etc depending on power level.
