Default what length drive shaft ?

got a 94 z with a lq based ls swap , th400 short tail , ford 9 in rearend with the 3150 yoke etc . what length driveshaft will i need ? gettin diff measurments all around .

Are you trying to use a driveshaft from some other car or have a custom one made? If custom, measure from the middle of the rear yoke (u-joint carrier) to the back of the trans. A good custom shop is shaftmasters.com near Detroit, MI. Cost me $350 for an aluminum one; steel is probably around $275.

i need a new one , there is a place near me that builds shafts but i need a length .

Put the rear wheels up, crawl under the car with a tape measure and cell phone and call them. They will tell you what their preferred measurement is. Its the only way to be sure.
