Default street torque converter

I have a 67 Camaro with an L92, ported LS3 intake and TB, Texas Speed VVT2 Cam, DOD eliminated, 1" 7/8 full length headers, 6L90E trans with a 3.73 rearend. What is a good stall speed to maximize performance but maintain good streetability? I'm looking at a Yank SS 2800 rpm or 3200rpm stall. Thanks

with a modern lockup stall you can be way more aggressive on stall speed than doing an old school non locking convertor as it will lockup and drive stock when driven normally.

example my old sbc 71 nova that ran 12.50's for me back in the day had a 3500 stall /4.11's and it was fun but you didnt really want to drive it anywhere it wasn't practical it was always ringing its guts out , my 173k mile stock internal ls1 4l60 car with 3600 vigilante and 373's would kick that novas *** in any scenario then lock up and cruise at 70+ all day with ease ( no rpm drone) I would go 4k stall if it ever needed to come apart....

I think the stalls your thinking of are conservative considering your ability to lockup and having overdrive - if anything go big on stall and lessen gearing- a quality modern lockup stall will get you in the rpm sweet spot without deep gears but I think your 373's will be fine with lockup/OD and a big stall.

All the quality convertor dealers on here offer a free restall to make sure your happy , go higher than you think then if you don't like it you could have them drop it a bit. Plus being cammed it will really like an aggressive stall , a small stall may be a turd with a cam.

I would suggest something in the mid 3k stall range. Under that you may feel a dead spot as the L92 comes into the power band. You have a very steep first gear ratio in the 6 speed, so you can get away with a more aggressive converter. What is the duration on your cam?

SS3200 or SS3600 would be a nice choice.
