Is this a hard swap to do what all do I need help please

Someone yesterday was asking how hard it was to swap from a 4L60E to a manual 6 speed. Why don't you guys just swap cars.

It should be easy to search the forum for this question. Perhaps someone will give you a list of major threads. The sub-harness to the trans and the PCM reprogramming give pause to the people comfortable with the wrenching.

The best way is to find a guy like me who wants to swap his auto for a 6 speed. Hell, I'd do the swap for you just to have the parts and be rid of this miserable trans.

What's so miserable about your tranny? If it's broken, I get that. But if not, a converter along with some tuning and tweaking and you might not be calling it miserable anymore.

I've been kicking around swapping it for a built 200-4r. Better 1-2 ratio, taller 4th, and less parasitic drag. Not to mention not having to rebuild it every couple of years for something. (cracked input drum 3 years ago, input sprag this past month) But I'd love a 6 speed.
