Are they not the same?
Okay i have a quick question, i found a stall converter for around $300.00 on JEGS and its a 3500-3800 rpm speed, i figured that would work for a cam upgrade and later some forced induction, but when i went and read the discription, it stated that it was not meant for such applications as supercharger or any kind of boost really. then i go on texas-speed and find some pricy little suckers for the same rpm speed, and those state that they can handle boost and nitrous, and can handle 600+ horsepower. Soooo, long story short, why is it that the JEGS one "isnt for that" and the texas-speed one is?

it would be good to state what your car is.
for the 4L60E,jegs stocks B&M and Hughes as Summit stocks TCI,
if you're after a performance convertor, those 3 brands(along with many others probably)are to be avoided. a good performance convertor should be custom made. I've had TCI and Hughes and now running a Yank SS3600.Yank and CircleD can provide convertors that'll 'wake' your car up and let the 'beast' out.

I've never read a good thing here on any $300 converter, only regrets.
“There is nothing in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and he who considers price only is that man's lawful prey.”
And "prey" is the critical word here.

A $300 TCI converter from Summit only lasted 31/2 months in my car before a bearing in the thing broke. Tore up the converter and trans. Only had a 90 day warranty. The sad thing is I didn’t drive the car for 1 month out of the 3. You get what you pay for.
