Default New to Automatics. Converter Help Please

I have a very low mile 2000 Trans Am with a 273 rear. What converter do I use and from whom do I get it? Car is a garage queen bone stock. I plan on heads, cam, big brakes and full suspension. I'm looking to build a car that does everything reasonably well. Not just a quarter mile car. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A lot of the converter recommendations you get will be straight line oriented 245mm diameter units. If you plan on good street manners, high efficiency for road race or auto x applications, and still get better 60's, I would steer you toward a low 3000 stall in the 258mm diameter. If you would like, fill out the ask Chris form in my sig with all your mods and we can get you set up with exactly what you need.

All of the sponsors here offer a great product. I have used Yank and Vigilante and have been very pleased with both of them. Circle-D offers a great product and so does FTI
