Default 700R4 to SBC 4L60E to LM7

Searched, but found conflicting answers, so sorry for beating this to death if that is the case.
Currently have a 5.3 LM7 from a 2001 Tahoe.
I installed a built 700R4 to save the rewiring headaches after running the stock ZF transmission. I have the spacer that came with the TCI flexplate and it works perfectly with the R4 torque converter.
Found a recently rebuilt 4L60E that is also 4wd, but was behind a 5.7 (350) motor. Will it bolt up with the TCI adapter/spacer that I already have, and will the LM7 pcm run it without an issue if I use software to turn the transmission back on in it?
The TV cable kit from TV Made EZ is junk, and makes the throttle pedal very stiff when in use. Overall want more adjustment, so a 4L60e is the way to go.
$300 gets me the new transmission, but want to make sure it is going to be a bolt in deal when the 700R4 comes out.

To properly answer the question, we need to know what year the 4L60E is and what vehicle it came out of. A 5.7 could be an LS engine or a SBC.

Also, converting a 4WD 4L60E to 2WD involves a complete disassembly which often turns into a complete rebuild.

Both transmissions are 4wd, so that is not an issue.
I have asked the seller about the model/year of the donor vehicle, but no reply yet. All he said was it was behind a 5.7 and was a 4wd trans.
Will update if/when he replies.
What is a good rule of thumb for a hassle free installation 4L60E?

Avoid '94 and '95 as they are odd-ball years that only work with a matching-year PCM.

'96, '97 and all 4L60E from SBC or V6 engines have a 298mm input shaft and therefore require an adapter/spacer and matching converter to bolt up to an LS engine; but you already have that.
In other words a 298mm 4L60E bolts up the same as a 700R4.
'98 and later from LS engines are all physically identical and directly bolt up; they have a 300mm input shaft and the bell housing has a bolt hole in the 12 O'Oclock position.
300mm 4L60E from '98 through '06 are also electrically identical.
Some '06, '07, '08 have an input speed sensor (ISS) and will still work with an older PCM (but not the other way around).
Around '09 they become incompatible with any older PCM.

I see you are in England and therefore have less availability, but I want to help ensure it will work. Primarily avoid the '94 and '95 (and '93 if that even existed).

I am in Missouri now, but from England originally. Either way though, parts are hard to come by when you are looking for them!

Managed to get a recently (4/5/12) rebuilt 4L60 from a 1998 Tahoe, including the torque converter, for $350 semi locally.
When I run the code it comes back as a 1998 4.3 K truck though! Looking at interchange tables on the web, it will work for the V8;s also, unless someone knows a big difference?
My TCI spacer will be getting reused by the sound of it, and I have a LSx bellhousing with the top bolt hole, so can swap them over.
Thoughts?

I think that is a 298mm trans. You would use the bell housing that comes with it and your TCI spacer. A 298mm converter will not work with a LSx bellhousing.

OK, so if we use the removable bell housing that is currently on the tranny and skip the 12o'clock top hole, we can use the t/c and spacer that I currently have and be good?
Saved me half an hour in changing bell housings over to a LSx one that I have, so thank you!

Yes, I think so. (Based on other people I have helped here and not on personal experience; and I course I cannot see you exact setup.)
