Default tuning question

What's up guys I'm in the middle of a 4l80 swap and I was curious , Will I need to retune the car due to the different amount of load on the motor at idle and while on the brakes in gear.

Thanks in advance , Jose

It will probably idle weird but in my experience the computer relearns after a few minutes/start-up cycles.

You should only need to retune the shift points to match the gear ratios of the 4L80E; otherwise WOT shifts will be in the wrong places.
If you installed a high stall converter, you need a tune for that too - primarily de-sensitizing the slippage codes and misfire tables.
