Hey ls1perfcar, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but from the sounds of it you'll need a complete rebuild......just a pump won't help you. I hope this helps....Dave

Most shops will charge $200/$250 to pull and reinstall the trans[with a converter change].Now you have to pay shop time to pull, rebuild and reinstall the pump BUT,your trans is still full of particles that could take the trans out of service and you need to know what caused the problem in the first place.
Bite the bullet and get it done right,a full rebuild.

Well the transmissions already pulled so that saves me some money. How much is it for a basic rebuild...ive been quoted around 900 so if its that much I might as well get a Stage 1 tranny from Speedinc or from flp or if i can just find a used A4 i guess that'll do?

You can find some low mileage used transmissions for fairly cheap.I know a bud of mine got a 20k trans out of a wreck for $750 installed[$500 trans only].I think this could be your best[cheapest] option.
My basic rebuild was $550 and included HiEnergy clutches,ZPak,Beast[sunshell?]and some more which I dont remember.Rebuilder told me that the next rebuild will be $100 plus parts.Gives me something to look foward to.LOL.
