Chuck at FLP does a good job, but from what I hear he has a BIT of a problem with higher revving motors. No one else (but me) would touch my transmission :nonod:

It was a competitor explaining it and it was one of the components he uses. he said he wasn't sure and it could have changed by now. However, he did not point this out when I asked "who is better." He was way backordered so I asked if FLP was anygood. He said chuck built a great trans for him that took a lot of abuse. Chuck is the only other person he'd go to.

Hmm,... how about some real world facts...
FLP level 4 tranny shifting at 6,700 rpms, with two stage juice (over 560 hp on a mustang dyno so call it 600 for dynojet fans) and its good for spinning 10.5x's at 129mph with the 100 shot stage 1, on a 3,850lbs daily driver car.
Tranny is in the 14K mile range but its as quick and as firm as the day it went in the car. The only maitenance has been fresh trans fluid and plenty of tranny cooler capacity.
Chuck and FLP do good work.

Rossler builds insane stuff apparently, I belive they did the one for the TT C5 from Lingenfelter.
The place in the West Houston area... Century Automotive does killer work too. They've built a few of my buddies trannies. They also do the ones for MTI from what I understand.
Another I've looked at is maddog-transmissions they seem to build very nice setups also at reasonable prices. Check them out, they are based out of Florida. They also have a 1 year/12000mi warranty! They do 4L60E's but you've gotta contact him directly.
I've heard nothing but great stuff from FLP, so you can't go wrong there.
Dave from Rock-On is a very knowledgeable person too. I've been chatting with him via PM and I think he's just north of the Dallas area which is great for me. I just would rather have something built locally so it can be serviced locally.
It really comes down to who you prefer to deal with and how they are. My first impressions of places that I contact on the phone dictate if I will purchase from them or not.
Lastly.. TreyZ28, please stop voicing your erroneous opinions against places of business (or members of this board) without a basis of proof. You crossed me in a thread I started and I won't sit by and allow you to do that to others on here.

I didn't ask, I have my opinion. Then someone quoted ME asking why I wouldn't get it. It seemed like a personal question to me. Maybe I will concider it (ended up not tradeing in truck )
