Shifter Shaft seal 4L60 leaking..
My car is a 93 Corvette. The shifter shaft seal is leaking very little, but enough to leave a puddle over time. I travel allot so it sits allot.
The exhaust, even if taken out would not allow one of the universal tools to fit to tap the new seal in.
Has anyone seen, have, a Kent Moore tool GM would give, recommend, their techs to use? There has to be a specific tool which allows this seal to be pressed in by means of turning a tool using the selector shaft as a holder.
Thanks in advance.

To replace the seal, the shifter shaft has to be removed. It is 4" long, which means 4" past the seal, which would be enough to tap another seal in. If your '93 Vette does not have 4" space past the seal, you would not be able to remove that shaft in that position. I think you will need a plan B.
Also, the shaft often develops a lip which needs to be filed down before it can be pulled out of the trans.
