Default Exedy vs Borg vs Alto vs Raybestos Clutches on 4L80E

Which clutch will be better for my 4L80e? I have kinda compared the Borg vs Alto and Borg vs Raybestos, but have not compared Borg vs Exedy. I am leaning towards Borg because of the ability to soak up more fluid compared to others tested. What are you guys running?

Borg is supposedly the best and was used by GM for a reason.

All the TH400 & 4L80E clutches that I carry in my kits for 2nd and 3rd (direct) are Borg Warner Hi-Energy and the rest are Borg Warner. Jake for his builds uses the same here. They do everything well as far as longevity, holding torque & horsepower and there tolerances (as far as run out per clutch) are much closer than Raybestos. Altos just do not do what we want from them. Inspect the clutch closely for run out before using it. Even Borg Warner has had "bad runs" over the years. The same goes for the steel clutch plate.

You couldn't give me exedy frictions. I used a set for a 6R because that's all that was available, and the customer had to have them. None of them were flat. You could stack a set and see light through. Roughly .005" run-out in each friction. Garbage.

It can vary depending on the build and options. If you have a few minutes, fill this form out: http://northtexasconverter.com/?page_id=87

That will give me the most accurate idea for price and I can help you from there

I know they make good clutches for manual trans, so I figured they would be decent for an auto, plus I could get a killer deal on them. So ima stick with Borg. It really came down to Borg and Alto, but Borg soak up more fluid than Alto did.
