tranny cooler and braided hose kit?
Does anyone offer a kit that comes with both? I am in the middle of completing my 4l60 swap and need to get parts ordered. Thanks!

I agree on the Teflon hoses; for one thing they have a smaller external diameter than regular braided hoses.
Since factory hard lines are 5/16", AN-6 with a 3/8" internal diameter is plenty big.
Here is a similar recent thread:

10ft of AN6 teflon hose is $20
4x Teflon fittings is $90
AN6 to trans adapters is $20
2x AN6 male-to-male fittings is $12
Total of $142.
Correction (now that I have time to research everything)
15ft of AN6 teflon hose is $75
4x Teflon fittings is $80
AN6 to trans adapters is $20
2x AN6 male-to-male fittings is $6
Total of $181.
...
Total of $

10 feet will easily get to the front of the car and back to the transmission.
Usually takes one piece slightly longer than the other. I usually have more than a foot left over.
We've done this install in the shop dozens of times and sell a cooler, hose, and fitting kit.
I would like to know where anybody can get braided or teflon hose for $2/ft.

I have an fbody sitting in my garage, I have a thread that clearly shows I know how to make AN line. 10 feet of line isnt enough, especially when you have to route around headers and get up to the front of the AC condenser etc. However, if its up for debate, I will be happy to go get a tape measure, walk outside, and PROVE you wrong.... if you like!
Here's my cooler, mounted behind the bumper (previously on the condenser) and there is "maybe" 3 feet of extra from a 20ft piece of hose, split evenly for the two runs. Its about a foot in front of the condenser but sightly lower also.

Go get your tape measure.
I have also sold dozens of the kits with 10' of braided line and all my customers have been able to successfully do it.
We run the lines from the transmission along the oil pan rail, to the condensor area, like the stock lines.
Just had a customer pick their TA up on Friday that we did the complete 4L80E install.

It's $250. Myself, my customers, and my techs have all be able to successfully do it, but as you can see in this thread, some individuals are challenged and can barely do it with twice as much hose.

Curiosity go the best of me. Tape measure from approx middle of the pan, 5 foot gets you to approx the middle of the headlight. That's no up and down, no left and right, no routing whatsoever. If it fits with 10 ft, damn it must be a tight run, I'd like more freedom to route away from heat, belts, or anything else I see fit. 10ft would not work for me, or my car, ever. I'd rather have a few feet extra, then be one inch short. But then again, that kinda stuff shows in everything you do in life

It's pretty simple really. I do it for a living, every day.
It shouldn't take 2 times the wheelbase of the car to run from the transmission to the front of the condenser, and it doesn't.
I very often make stock type steel lines from hard tubing. 2 60" pieces gets the job done.
As I stated earlier I generally have about a foot left of a 10' piece to run lines on a 4th Gen F body and I've done it in my shop at least a couple of dozen times over the last 5-6 years. Not counting all the older muscle cars, pickups, and other types of cars we've done.
I've sold probably 80-100 of the cooler, line, fitting kits over the last few years as well. Nobody has had issues installing them.
Obviously there are exceptions for certain vehicles, coolers, routing, etc but I know what works for us and our customers.

When i did mine i bought 20' of steel braided line and fittings from summit as suggested from another post.I cut it in half and 2-10' runs fit perfect and i mounted mine in front radiator.
