Default flexplate

so school me on flexplate usage. will a LS1 flexplate work with a 4L80 trans? what about on ls2 or ls3 motors?

All LS flexplates for the 4L60 and 6L80 are interchangeable. Slightly different design, but same bolt pattern and offset. Assuming a 6 bolts crank. LSA and LS9 have the 8 and 9 bolt crank. 4L80 is a little different, they used a flat flexplate with a spacer to achieve the same offset. And the OE 4L80 converters uses a 11.5" bolt circle vs the 11.066" LS. But most aftermarket converter companies can make a 4L80 with the 3 lug LS bolt pattern. It really depends on what you are trying to do....
