Default tci flexpate install question for th400

I have a tci flexplate 399753 with a ls1 specific converter and th400. There is a crank spacer screwed to the crank side of the flexplate. Do I leave this on or remove it since I have an ls1 style converter. thanks

Leave it on, that gives you the proper LS offset. I assume your converter has the longer LS c pilot, so you will not need the converter plot extension.

yes. the converter has a longer pilot extension than "normal converters. With the shim still bolted to the back of the flexplate, that makes the bellhousing side of the flexplate flush with the end of the crank pilot. Sound correct?

I would need longer than flexplate bolts then, correct? there is only about .480 of threads threw the flexplate.

Thanks

Can you post pics of this setup. I just got done with this exact swap and didnt need a crank spacer. But I went from a 98 dished to the TCI 399753 if that makes a difference and a ls specific concverter

Im not actually using a separate spacer. I am talking about the thin one bolted to the engine side of the flexplate. What flexplate bolts did you use?

I didn't get mine new. The guy bought it and never used it. So no bolts.
