Default Tranny help

I need help finding a tranny that can handle about 700 or so HP and TQ. Any help on choices and/or plces to buy would be appreciated.

Speed Inc-------->

FLP---------->

Racing Transmissions--------->

Check out our sponsors and do some searches in this forum for FLP and Speed Inc to read up on their setups. Lots of our board memebers I know have or have had one of their setups. You may also think about going to a TH400 or similar with that kind of power.

IMHO, top 4 are: FLP...Rossler...Century...Dynotech.

I've checked out most of these and found some good deals with sponsors but didn't want to spend the money and find out something else would have been better. So I thought I would get the opinions of some ls1techer's. I was looking at a th400 but wanted to know of others experiences.

HAMRHEAD...no, not necessarily in that order. I can only tell you about what I have read and heard...the one I have is from PATC in Louisiana. If I can run it for another 6-8 mos w/o any problems, I might could recommend it, but not yet.
From what I've read...it would be Rossler...then FLP and Century...with Dynotech coming on strong. One of the tuners I use, says he's seen problems with them all. Evidently a work in progress...I would assume.

I've heard good things about Rossler. Don't know to much about the others. Keep posting any experiences guys. I can only afford one tranny right now, don't want it to be a regret buy.

do some searches in here on TH350 and TH400. I'm sure many people in the past have had similar questions. If you are every looking around in the Drag Racing forum, check out peoples sigs or in their post if they mention one of these trans shoot them a PM about it. Most people on here are very helpful and have a lot of good info. They just don't all come in this particular forum a lot Hope this helps a little.
