Default Trans Noob - Need Guidance

I'm starting to buy parts for my project. I assumed the best trans for my project was a 4l80e. I also assumed I wasn't totally ignorant when it comes to transmissions... after reading through a number of posts here, damn I don't know **** about transmissions. So I have two questions:

1. What is the ideal transmission for the following application?
2. Can I get away with a 4l60e? The awd transfer case I plan on using is 27 spline. If i have to bump to a 80e, i have to drop serious coin on custom input shafts and tail adapters... not something I want to spend money on.

00' chevy blazer 2 door 4x4
8.8 Rear
BW4472 awd transfer case
Stock front diff, stock bravada axle tube
JY 5.3L Turbo - i'm copying one of denmah's setups and expect to see 650ish to all tires.

Primarily a street car but it will see occasional track days. It'll be full time awd and lowered 3"/4". I'm also trying to figure out how to make calvert split monos and caltracs work but they don't offer anything for blazers and there is a ton of conflicting info regarding leaf spring lengths and center placement on 4dr blazers vs 2dr blazers vs s10s... esp since the calvert stuff is meant for a 2wd s10 and i'm using a 4wd blazer. anyways, i digress.

I'm also open to any suggestions regarding any part of the project as i'm just starting to gather parts.

Thanks!

I have the opportunity to buy a used 4L60e with a fresh rebuild and a transgo HD2 shift kit for $500. Will the 60e last in the setup below?

Sorry, but I don't think a $500 4L60E will last more than a single track run with a 650awhp turbo.

IMHO, your choices are a Level-7 4L65E (or equivalent) from FLT, RPM or Performabuilt which will cost you $4000+ or a modestly built 4L80E.
Why not call FLT as I know owner Chuck will not sell you more than you need.
