See figure 125. It appears that there are few bolts that are a different length.

Can you elaborate? When I put the valvebody on, I noticed it being "held up" by that front servo. A gentle push and threading in a bolt seemed to hod things, but I couldn't remember if it was that way when I took it apart. Is it possible the new band isn't playing nice with the old servo and pin?

That's great! Thanks a lot. I am very sure I didn't notice one bolt being shorter and I doubt it ended up where it was supposed to be!

It was a false alarm! It turns in the clockwise direction, but it is tough. It isn't locked at all. I did take the valve body bolts out and they are all the same except for the smaller ones that go into the pressure switch. Mine is a 2002 model, so maybe the bolts changed at some point. Now I need to wire up the US Shift controller and see if this thing works.

Mine is an 06 model and the bolts are all the same length. Glad you got it figured out.

I just went through this with my 4L80e build and it really effed with my head. Everything was fine after I installed the pump. I finished assembly then went out a few days later to find it was locked up trying to turn clockwise. I finally broke down and started to take it apart. I noticed when the valve body came off it rotated both ways. Turns out one of the small headed pressure switch bolts threads into the case right where the forward band is located. The forward band that came with my Jake's kit it thicker than stock. The bolt was coming through the case just enough to push on the band and lock the direct housing up. I put to washers on the bolt to reduce how far it threads and Voila it's good to go on both direction. You might want to check if maybe it putting pressure on it and causing some drag. It was one of the center pressure switch bolts, loosen them up one at a time to see which one it is.

Thanks! I need to pull it back out to sort though my flexplate issues and install a TR6060 temp sensor (so my 2010 camaro gauge still works). I'll double check those bolts.
