I have 45,000 miles on my stock T/A and probably check the tranny fluid once every 6 months. It never needed a drop but was slowly inching down below the cross-hatch area over the years. Today after a long drive it was definitely in the 'warm' area below the cross-hatch. I added one pint and am good to go until I decide to change the fluid some day. It appears to be as pink as the day I bought it new. I'm impressed.
