Question 4l60e tranny did something weird today

well first of all it was rebuilt a couple of years ago to handle 700rwhp my car only put down a little over 400rwhp so anyway its my DD and has been doing great but today on the way to work I noticed my service engine light come on then but no issue, then after lunch I was on the HWY and once it shifted in OD the car sort of surged? but only after 2k rpms anything on or below was fine/normal but trying to go faster it would strangely surge I have never came across this before, now it never turned off and it didn't seem like it was slipping at all and driving back on the city streets it was normal again no issues at all I even got a kill over a HCI foxbody stang

seriously though anybody ever encounter this? or have an idea perhaps

Know anyone with a scanner so you can see if any codes are being thrown for the trans?

I would start there

A code ("check engine light") for the engine will sometimes cause the trans to shift and operate differently (I call it "safe mode").
Therefore, as stated, scan for all codes and lets see what you have.
