I just wanted to mostly explain that heat did not kill my set up, it was my own fault. I put a great cooler on a stock 4L60 and pounding the living hell out of it for 30k miles of my own usage. It did not hold up simply because of my own negligence of what I needed to do or in my case not do.

Car is going to go T56 because 4L60 rebuilds are the same price and the car is an original M6 car. Transmission really held up well for stock parts.

I like the idea of adding a fan to it. No I dont think it caused your issue or anything like that but the fan was a great idea.

Yeah, it really helped when the high fans turned on because it was pushing air through the cooler as it was being pulled from the other side. Really did the job
