Default Transgo 4l80 hd2 install. Oil pan hits filter

Anyone ever had this problem before? The only thing I could find was people used a newer style filter in the older case. I have a 92 case with a shallow pan. I tried with the new filter for a 92 and also the filter that came out of the trans. Both hit about an 1/8" before the transmission pan reaches the case. I contacted Transgo and they told me they have never heard of this problem before. Thanks in advance for any help

I had the problem once:
the wiring harness was not properly positionned and was under the filter, which did not allow it to sit on the tight place.
There is really not a lot of room between the filter and the pan. If the filter does not have the right angle, it might sit on the VB screws and not fit right.
check that it does not go a little deeper if you rotate it a little.

they have an early pan and a late pan, you have to use the filter for the pan you have
If the filter fit b4, should fit again-did you put a new seal in w/o taking the old one out
make sure you didn't put the harness bracket in the wrong place
