Default Any way to identify an ls torque converter?

I bought a transmission and a converter used and was supposed to both be from the car. Converter will not engage the pump no matter the amount of turning I do or wiggling jiggling or happy dances. I've tried standing the trans on the output shaft and nothing

I'm starting to wonder if this converter just happened to be something that was thrown in and lying around. Numbers on it look like maybe it's a 700r4 converter? Anyway to identify with measurements anywhere? I'd buy a new converter but want to make sure that is my issue.

Can we get a few more pics of the converter and of the transmission input shaft.

If you can see this there are 2 sets of splines then at the very bottom an approximate 3/4" long section which is not splines is a very small circle that is smooth. If that paints a picture.

That's an LT 298mm torque converter. Your input shaft is the LS style. You need a different torque converter.
